ENEKO Centre was formed as a scientific unit at the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts whose founders were the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. ENEKO is an institution that creates by its scientific and development work conditions for transfer of the most advanced technologies in the area of energy and ecology.
Cooperation between academies is conducted within ENEKO Centre and its goal is rational production, transformation and use of energy in the context of environment protection and improvement. Eight international scientific acts have been organized by the Centre with the following topic: Renewable sources of energy and future of their application at which numerous experts from the country and the region discussed on key problems of providing enough energy for needs of sustainable development. Papers from these scientific acts were printed within eight proceedings published by the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts.
ENEKO Centre is a member of WREN (World Renewable Energy Sources) and WSS (World Solar Summit).
