Centre of the World Academy of Sciences and Arts – WAAS is founded and managed at the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts in Podgorica. The Centre was inaugurated on June 7, 2012 during organization of the International conference “Humanities and the Contemporary World”, which was organized by the Montenegrin Academy of sciences and Arts with support of the World Academy of Sciences and Arts, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the European Federation of Natural and Humanistic Sciences (ALLEA) and the Global Network of Academies of Sciences, 7-9 June 2012 in Podgorica.

Centre of the World Academy of Sciences and Arts at the MASA presents one of the institutional forms of cooperation which was established by the WAAS with national academies, universities, institutes and NGOs which is designed to contribute to better presentation and recognition of the activities of WAAS in this part of the world through more efficient implementation of the common activities on projects of interest for scientific community in Montenegro, region and more broadly.
